Osimhen equals Odegbami, becomes Super Eagles’ second joint-top scorer

Victor Osimhen has become the joint-second-highest goalscorer for the Nigerian Super Eagles, tying with Segun Odegbami with 23 goals. This puts Osimhen behind only Rashidi Yekini, who holds the overall record with an unmatched 37 goals for Nigeria.

Osimhen achieved this milestone during a 1-1 draw against Benin in an AFCON qualifier. The 25-year-old striker now has a chance to move ahead of Odegbami and inch closer to Yekini’s record in the upcoming match against Rwanda.

The top five all-time scorers for Nigeria are:

1. Rashidi Yekini – 37 Goals
2. Victor Osimhen – 23 Goals
3. Segun Odegbami – 23 Goals
4. Yakubu Aiyegbeni – 21 Goals
